The Number One Reason Why You Are Stuck On A Life You Hate
You have brain rot.
You have brain rot.
Every single one of us has brain rot in some sense.
If you don't know what the heck is a brain rot—brain rot is a term for when your brain is deteriorated or is in the process of deteriorating. And by deteriorate, I mean the loss of intellect.
Just like what the word "rot" means in a literal sense, your brain is decayed or is in the process of decaying—but not literally.
The problem is you're not aware of it.
You keep doing the things that makes it worse.
You justify your brain rot unconsciously.
And you don't even have an idea that it's the main reason why you're probably not living the life you want.
In this letter, I want to bring it to your awareness.
What causes brain rot?
Why should you be concerned?
How to cure yourself of brain rot?
Social media and the internet has been around for a long time now.
Billions of people in the world are using it.
And from those billions, Imagine how many of those people have brain rot.
Most people who uses the internet and more specifically social media are the ones who have the highest chances of having brain rot.
This is because, the main cause of brain rot is the overconsumption of media that heavily consists of toxicity and negativity.
When a normal human brain has been exposed to a certain belief for a very long time, it gets brainwashed into believing that certain belief to be true.
The environment influences your thoughts, and in this case the environment is the media.
The Brain Rot Pandemic
Brain rot is the reason why most people are stuck living a life they hate.
Specifically the consumers of media.
The people who spends their time on their phones doomscrolling social media.
There are people who being affected by the media on the old school/traditional outlet of media like televisions, radios, and newspapers too. When you think about it, it's all over the place.
The Rot
You developed a victim's mentality which has caused you into thinking that you are helpless.
From there, it's all a downward spiral.
Feeling helpless makes you blame external factors—meaning, you blame anything other than yourself for your unfortunate circumstance.
When you blame others, you remove the power and control to change from yourself.
The human brain is designed to think that if its host is not at fault for something, it naturally loses the motivation to work on solving the problem.
And the lack of motivation is the root cause of a myriad of problems that you're having. It causes you to be drawn to inaction.
Inaction means slow death.
Inaction removes any capacity you have to set goals, let alone achieving it. Without a goal, your life is mundane and aimless. You're a floating leaf just letting the wind blow you away to wherever it may wish.
An aimless and mundane life is the perfect recipe for a wasted potential and an unfulfilled life.
The Cure
Having a brain rot doesn't mean that you'll inevitably go towards mediocrity.
Unlike most diseases, brain rot has a cure.
1) Be aware and accept that you have it.
The most important thing to curing brain rot is to be aware that you have it.
You cannot solve a problem you don't know that you have.
2) Know what causes brain rot.
This is a no-brainer, but in order to cure it, you first have to know what causes so that you don't keep reinforcing that which you already have.
3) Remove it from the root.
Now that you know what causes it, next thing you should do is to stop using whatever is causing it.
Stop drowning yourself in its temporary pleasure.
4) Wait.
The last step is to just wait. Give it time. You need to have a strong willpower for this because you are going to have to keep yourself from using whatever is causing it.
That's it.
You can get brain rot as easy as you can cure it.
The Vaccine
Once you've cured it, obviously you don't want to be infected again.
But just because I said that brain rot comes from using media and the internet doesn't mean you don't have to use them anymore.
In fact, I encourage you to use it.
Because the internet and social media has introduced a lot of opportunities for you to live your life outside the traditional path of just going to school, getting a 9–5 job, and retire when you're old enough to.
Building a business around your curiosities, interests, and expertise has never been easier. (If you're interested in building one, I have a program that can accelerate your journey from scratch. It'll be ready soon so if you're interested, you can book a call with me here https://calendly.com/jamesedisoneduardo/30min and be one of the first ones whom I'll be offering it for free)
All to say—you can still use social media and I highly suggest that you do so, but you have to be aware of the fact that there are a lot of media that is unhealthy for your mind.
The algorithm promotes more negative media because it's the ones that gets the most traction. It's the ones that gives these platforms the most revenue. You can't do anything about this anymore, these companies are big and they'll stop at nothing to put money in their pockets.
But you can fight back.
You can just be aware, don't put anything to heart, and realize that brain rot can't come in your mind if you close your mind from it.
